I specialize in the creation of accurate color photographs of artwork, in particular paintings and other two dimensional work. For sculpture and three dimensional work, in addition to getting the color accurate my approach is to inject enough drama to make the photographs interesting as photographs but without interfering with the accurate documentation of the artwork itself.
My pricing is geared to be affordable to individual artists, especially young artists still in the beginning of their careers.
I have photographed on location on three continents and throughout the US in museums, collectors' homes, artists' studios, and in art galleries. I also maintain a studio in Brooklyn, NY where artists and collectors can bring their work to be photographed.
I have been a Visiting Professor of Photography at Pratt Institute, an Instructor at the School of Visual Arts, and have conducted photography workshops for the International Center of Photography.
My work has appeared in over 175 art publications, including books published by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, NY, Whitney Museum of American Art, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Joslyn Museum of Art, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, the The Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, as well as individual exhibition catalogues.
Book publishers have included Viking Press, Rizzoli, Taschen, Barnes & Noble, Abrams and Yale University Press.
